Elf idea: Riddle on the fridge
A riddle is stuck to the fridge; the answer is a place in the house, and there's a little surprise waiting there. It takes about 4 minutes and hardly any effort; you need sticky notes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

How to do it
- Hide a small surprise somewhere the kids know well: a biscuit in the bread bin, a note in a welly.
- Write a riddle about that place on a sticky note, like 'I keep feet dry in puddles and I live by the door.'
- Stick it on the fridge and sit the elf beside it, pointing at the note.
