Elf idea: Candy cane hunt
The elf has hidden candy canes around the room with a note saying how many to find. It takes about 5 minutes and hardly any effort; you need candy canes, paper, card and envelopes, felt tips, crayons and a marker pen.

How to do it
- Hide 5 to 10 candy canes around the room, hooked on things.
- Write 'I hid 8. Find them all.'
- Sit the elf holding the empty box.
